CALAIS – James Edward Sprague, 74, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at a Bangor hospital, with his wife, Sandra Sprague and two of his stepchildren, Lisa and Brian by his side. He was predeceased by his dad, James Raymond Sprague; and his mother, Lily Albon Sprague. Throughout his life, he was a security guard at the Georgia Pacific Mill and attended Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 61. He was a great husband and father to his family. “Ed” enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 28 and a half years, Sandra Sprague; brother, Carlton Sprague; sister, Irma Cookson; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Sprague; a grandchild, Amy Sprague; one great-grandchild, Hunter Nason; three stepchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Mays Funeral Home, formerly Scott-Wilson, 26 Church St., Calais, where a funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery.
