ORNEVILLE – James G. Baldwin, 62, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born in Rockville Centre, N.Y., the first son of Kenneth G. and Evelyn Shields Baldwin. Jim spent most of his life in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., graduating from Wappingers High School. He worked at Pleasant River Lumber Co., Dover-Foxcroft. He is survived by his two sisters, Barbara Maier and her husband, John Maier III, of West Shokan, N.Y., and their children, David and Christiane, Colleen Marsh and her husband, Robert Marsh, of Clark Summit, Pa., and their children, Amy, Adele and James; and his brother, Kenneth G. Baldwin Jr. and his wife, Janice Baldwin, of Pooler, Ga., and their children, David and Jessica. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at United Methodist Church, Wappingers Falls, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made in Jim’s name to The Smithsonian Institution, Contribution Receipt Center, P.O. Box 9016, Pittsfield, MA 01202-9016.
