OLD TOWN – James H. Greenleaf, 56, died peacefully Aug. 10, 2004, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Nov. 6, 1947, the son of Frank and Eva (Pinkham) Greenleaf. He attended Old Town schools, spent time in the Army, and entered a career specializing in sheet metal building fabrication with Madison Ind. of Conyers, Ga. A car accident at the age of 26 made Jimmy wheel chair bound for the remainder of his life. Jimmy had a zest for life and lived by his motto, “Too much is just right for me”. He had that special smile for family and friends and loved reading, gardening and doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his mother, Eva Greenleaf of Old Town, son, Mark and wife, Martha of Bangor; three brothers, Frank and his wife, Deanie of Milford; Gary and his wife, Lisa of Sebring, Fla., David of Grand Prairie, Texas; one sister, Sandra Champion of Hollywood, Fla.; nieces, nephews, and many special friends, especially the Wentworth family. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Greenleaf. A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at the Old Town United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Chaffee officiating. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may donate to the charity of their choice in Jim’s memory. A service of Brookings-Smith Old Town Chapel.
