ORONO – James “Jim” A. Sickles Jr., 50, died Dec. 17, 2003, at his residence in Orono. He was born Dec. 25, 1952, in Bangor, the son of James A. Sr. and Mary E. (Cairns) Sickles. Jim graduated from Bangor High School in 1971. He was active in sports both in school and at the YMCA. Jim worked for Pepsi Co., in 18 years. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Jim loved to golf and was a member of Pine Hill Golf Club. In addition to his mother of Bangor, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Lee) Sickles of Orono; children, Mechelle of California, Andy of Bangor, David of Florida, Nichole and Shane, both of Bangor; brothers and sisters, George “Butch” of Orrington, and Vivian “Snookie” of Bradford, Michael of Atlanta, Ga., Lillian of Corinth, and John of Florida; grandchildren, Jenna, Mckinnley, Madeline, and Sydney. He was predeceased by his father, James A. Sickles, Sr., and a brother, Skip. Friends and family are invited for a viewing 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at their residence, 2360 Essex St., Orono. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin celebrant.
