BANGOR – Louise Claudia Fessenden, 91, formerly of Bangor, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Berlin, Vt. She was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Bangor, the daughter of Ambrose and Alva Eisnor. She was a graduate of Bangor High School. She was the wife of the late Harold Leroy Fessenden. Mr. Fessenden died Aug. 10, 1995. They lived all of their married lives in Hampden. Mrs. Fessenden worked for many years in Bangor area grocery stores. She was a member of the Columbia Street Baptist Church in Bangor. She enjoyed traveling in a recreational vehicle, crafts, knitting and crochet. Survivors include two sons, Dennis E. Fessenden of Pensacola, Fla., Gerald “Jerry” Fessenden of Montpelier, Vt.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Hurd. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Kingston Funeral Home, 35 Slate Ave., in Northfield. Burial will take place at a later date in Hampden.
