LIMESTONE – James L. Ballard, 81, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at a Caribou hospital. He was born July 30, 1926, in Limestone, the son of HilKiah and Mina (Kearney) Ballard. James was employed for many years at the United States Postal Service and retired as postmaster. He was an active member of Limestone Masonic Lodge No. 214 and Anah Temple Shrine. He is survived by nieces and nephews; and special friends, Paul and Shirley Michaud. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a brother, Beecher; and a sister, Dorothy McKenney. There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Ward Cemetery, Limestone.
