UXBRIDGE, Mass. – James Landry, 73, of 2 Salmon Stream Road, Guilford, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at home after an illness. Born Feb. 12, 1935, in Uxbridge, Mass., he was the son of James and Eva (Young) Landry, and lived in Guilford the past 18 years. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marie (Pike) Landry; six children, Donna Lacey of Douglas, Tammy Landry of Vernon, Conn., Philip Landry of Brownville, Anthony Muggeo of Birmingham, Ala., Chad Muggeo of Uxbridge, Mass., and Renee Spence of Stoughton; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Janice Woods of Sarasota, Fla.; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan E. (Baker) Landry, who died April 6, 1989. Mr. Landry was a service representative for engineering firm OCE-USA Corp. for 39 years, retiring in 1997. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving aboard the USS Des Moines during the Korean War. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Willimantic Community Church, Willimantic.
