DETROIT – James M. Lovely, 17, passed away suddenly Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, in Detroit as a result of an automobile accident. He was born Jan. 30, 1988, in Waterville, the son of James Connolly and Brenda Lovely. He was a senior at Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield. During his time in school he played many sports including, basketball, football, baseball, soccer and he was involved with the carpentry class in Skowhegan. He loved his motorcycle, snowmobiling, snowboarding fishing and hunting, getting his first deer last year in the “Big Bucks Club.” He loved being with his friends, using his cell phone, music, he liked his new truck which he was looking forward to customizing, he enjoyed times spent with his father, especially outdoor activities. He lived life to the fullest enjoying all that he did. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Lovely; and his stepfather, David Greenwood of Detroit, where James resided along with his dog, Snickers; his father, James Connolly of Livermore Falls; his maternal grandmother, Donna Lovely of Hartland; his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Linda Mitchell of Burnham; aunts and uncles, Mary and Dan Allen of Hartland, Beverly and David Chase of Burnham, Debbie and Jody Braley of Burnham, Linda and Carl Lary of Hartland, Randy Hight and Marylyn Bubar of Hartland, Timothy Lovely of Burnham, Kip and Stephanie Connolly of Madison, Joe and Sherry Connolly of Campton, N.H., Sue and Lee Nolan of Burnham, several cousins, Lorie, David, Charles, Nicole, Marcus, David, Jennifer, Randylee, Mykelti, Kate, Jeremy, Joe, Mariah, Curtis, Kyle, Courtney, Patrick, Tyler, Kyle, Nicholas and Derek; and great-aunts, Deanna Tilton and Myrtle Marble. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Marvin Lovely; Uncle Blaine Lovely, Julie and Amos Henry, Aunt Wanda Lovely, Aunt Tracy Grant; and great-uncle, Norman Curtis and great-aunt, Beverly Lunt; paternal great-grandparents, Elizabeth and Don Connolly. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield and the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at the funeral chapel.
