ST. STEPHEN, New Brunswick – James Ralph Haney, 47, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at a hospital in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. James was born Feb. 27, 1959, in St. Stephen, the son of Paul and Hazel (McKenzie) Haney. His father was killed in a truck accident in 1967, his mother remarried in 1970. So Hazel with James and his three brothers, moved to Alexander to live with Paul Dwelley. James was a long haul truck driver most of his life and drove two million miles in 17 years, anywhere from St. John, Newfoundland to California. James is survived by three brothers, Ken Haney, David Haney and Donald Haney; a daughter, Beverly Kerr; three grandchildren, Corey Mc-Knight, Zachary Williams, and Nathan Lunn. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Calais. James requested that those attending wear casual dress. Spring burial will take place at Alexander Cemetery, Alexander. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
