GLENBURN – Janice Kwiatkowsky, 62, went to be with her Lord, Dec. 13, 2007. She was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Brewer, the daughter of Patricia S. Grant. Janice graduated from Brewer High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree and master’s from the University of Maine. She taught at Bucksport High School and cherished the many students and colleagues that touched her life. She loved lobster and often could be found at the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. She loved sports, especially NASCAR, often traveling to Bristol, Tenn., the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the New England Revolution. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Brock and Denise Kwiatkowsky of Marietta, Ga., and Colt and Carol Kwiatkowsky of Brewer; two grandchildren, Kenzie and Zane Kwiatkowsky of Marietta, Ga.; four cousins, Dick Glaster of Belgrade, Rachel Stocker of Green River, Wyo., Sharon Brimmer of Penn Run, Pa., and Brenda Cheney of Brewer; special friends from Tennessee and Indiana; she will also be missed by her dog, Brady. She was predeceased by her beloved dogs, Brandy, Boo, Kai, Waltrip and Shy. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at First United Methodist Church, Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. George Curtis III officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service. Interment will be private at a later date.
