DEXTER – Janice M. Slater, 81, died May 30, 2005, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born April 5, 1924, in Dexter, the daughter of Anson and Vera (Chadbourne) Dorr. She is survived by her husband, George R. Slater of Dexter; a son and his wife, Brent and Michele Slater of Bangor; a nephew and his wife, Greg and Phyllis Sopkin of Vero Beach, Fla.; a grandson and his wife, Daniel and Karen Slater and their son, Adam Slater, all of Manchester, N.H. At her request there will be no public services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory, to the Foxcroft Veterinary Service, P.O. Box 418, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
