STONEHAM, Mass. – Pauline E. “Polly” (Telfer) Flickinger, 79, of Stoneham formerly of Winchester, passed away May 30, 2005, at the Salem Hospital after a brief illness. For more than 30 years she was a travel agent in the Winchester, Mass., area and was co-owner of the Gateway Travel Agency of Winchester for 10 years. She was an avid gardener and traveler and loved the outdoors. Loving mother of Daphne E. Bradford of Marblehead; dear grandmother of Spencer Davis Bradford of Missoula, Mont., Tyler Byron Bradford of Portland, Ore.; devoted sister of Anne Marie Strout and her husband, Russell B., of Winchester and the late John R. Telfer; beloved aunt of Jeffrey E. Strout and his wife, Kathleen, of Bangor, Daniel T. Strout and his wife, Joyce, of South Barrington, Ill., Eric E. Strout of Yardville Heights, N.J.; grand-aunt of Jennifer Dickinson, Courtney Strout, Kelley Strout and Elizabeth Strout. A Memorial celebration of Pauline’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at the First Congregational Church of Winchester, 21 Church St., (on the Common), Winchester, Mass. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Winchester Public Library, 80 Washington St., Winchester, MA 01890 or to North Shore Hospice, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
