ASHLAND – Jason Lee Hafford, 22, died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2007, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1984, in Presque Isle, the son of Julie (Burby) Hafford. He was a 2002 graduate of Ashland Community High School and was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Irving Forest Products, Ashland. Jason is survived by his parents, Julie and Ronald Belanger of Ashland; one brother, Eric Hafford and his girlfriend, Beth Soltowski, of Bangor; maternal grandmother, Alicia Burby of Ashland; paternal grandparents, Adrian and Patricia Belanger of St. John; many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was loved and will be missed by his many special friends, including his terrific girlfriend, Jessica Landry of Ashland. Jason was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ellery Burby; and by two uncles, Robbie Burby, Sr. and Donald Belanger. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland, with Fr. David Raymond officiating. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland.
