MADAWASKA and FORT KENT – Jean Yves Delisle, 58, died Jan. 29, 2004, at a Madawaska health-care facility. He was born June 7, 1945, in St. marc Du Lac Long, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Robert and Lucienne (Michaud) Delisle. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following the service he worked as a carpenter for himself for many years. Jean Yves will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by five children, Robert of Monroe, N.C., Christine, Jeannette, and Candace, all of Merriette Island, Fla., and Kortney of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Lisa and her husband, Donald Michaud, of Fort Kent; eight grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother in 1976; father in 1983; brother, Bertrand in 1998; baby sister at birth and three grandparents, Hilare and Eva Caron and Denis Michaud. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating.
