MATTAWAMKEAG – Vi Leach, wife of the late Maurice Leach Sr., died Jan. 27, 2004, at the Colonial Acres Healthcare Facility in Lincoln. She was born in Kingman, the daughter of Roy and Elzena (Williams) Moody. She attended schools in Kingman, Mattawamkeag High School, and graduated from Milo High. She also attended Farmington Normal. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Kingman, a member and past president of the former Rebekah Lodge of Kingman, a former member of the Floral Grange, and a member of Hamm-McGinley VFW Auxiliary, Mattawamkeag. She was employed for 27 years at Forster Mfg. Co. She is survived by three sons and one daughter, LeRoy and Betty Leach of Lakeville, Robert and Carol Leach of Lincoln, Maurice and Peggy Leach of Mattawamkeag, and Eleanor McCarthy of Millinocket; one brother, Bernard Moody of Kingman; and a sister-in-law, Dot Moody of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Charlene Nelson; two brothers and a sister, Donald and Roy Moody and Gladys Moore. There will be no funeral or visiting hours (wishes of the deceased). There will be a graveside service at a later date in the Kingman Cemetery.
