SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. Jeanine Pelletier, 73, of Fort Kent, passed away April 17, 2004, in Sun City West, Ariz., after a short illness. Jeanine graduated from Fort Kent Community High School at age 16 as class valedictorian. She served several terms on the Board of Directors of S.A.D. No. 27, including one term as chairwoman, and also served for many years on the Board of Trustees of Northern Maine Medical Center. Jeanine devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren, for which they all will be forever grateful. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Pelletier of Fort Kent; and her sons, Tom Pelletier of Island Falls, John Pelletier of Readfield, and Dr. Paul Pelletier of Wallagrass. Her love and care will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Danielle, Heather, Lindsey, Sam and Chris. Born in 1930, in Frenchville, to Elbridge and Sylvia Gagnon, Jeanine is also survived by siblings, Elbridge “Boo” Gagnon of Houlton, Sally Gagnon of Burlington, Vt., and Michael Gagnon of Fort Kent. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Kathy. She was also recently predeceased by her sister, Pat (Gagnon) Picard of Middletown, Ohio, and Milbridge. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent. Visiting hours will be 8:30-11 a.m. April 27, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent.
