DEXTER – Jeanne Jo Martin, 47, lost her long, courageous battle with cancer May, 8, 2008. She was born Nov. 13, 1960, and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. In 1995 she moved to Maine with her beloved partner, Michelle Drew. They shared their home in Dexter with their dogs, Rio and Dallas. Prior to her illness, Jeanne worked at Mountainview Correctional Facility. Jeanne was predeceased by her younger brother, Ricky Lee; and her adopted mother, Donna Drew. She is survived by her father, Jacob P. Martin of Piketon, Ohio; her brother, Tony and his partner, Kim, of Gainesville, Fla.; and her brother, Mark and his wife, Bobbi, of Chillicothe, Ohio. Her Drew family survivors, in addition to Michelle, include Ronald of Milo, Mitchell and Kathryn of Rye, N.H., Lisa of Portsmouth, N.H., Philip and Mary of Orono and Amanda and Mick of Pittsfield; and a very good friend and co-worker, Jody Lord of Corinth. Jeannie Jo will be sadly missed by all of us, as well as her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Thank you for the past 17 years. I will forever love you, Michelle.
