MATTAPOISETT, Mass. Jeanne Y. (Bureau) Lammi, 85, died July 24, 2008, at Hathaway Manor. She was the wife of the late Maynard C. Lammi. Born in Waterville, Quebec, and raised in New Bedford, Mass., the daughter of the late Adolphe and Lucia (Lacourse) Bureau, she lived in Camden and Rockport before moving to Mattapoisett, Mass., 35 years ago. Mrs. Lammi enjoyed family get-togethers and gardening with her neighbors. Survivors include a son, Raymond Lammi of Camden; three daughters, Carol Lammi-Keefe and her husband, Patrick Keefe, of Baton Rouge, La., Jeri Peirce of Mattapoisett, Mass., and Beth Lammi of Easley, S.C.; a brother, Bob Bureau of California; two sisters, Lillian Rapoza of New Bedford, Mass., and Doris Marchuk of Florida; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Karl Lammi; and sister of the late Norman Bureau, Raymond Bureau and Claire McElroy. Her funeral service will be held noon Monday at Seamen’s Bethel, 15 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, Mass.
