BROOKS – Jeannette A. (Ryder) Hildebrandt, 71, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, surrounded by family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born Sept. 2, 1936, in Somerville, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Anna and Carl Ryder; and the sister of the late George Ryder. Jeannette was a beautiful person, full of love for friends and family. She was an avid gardener with a love for flowers and vegetables of all kinds. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Hildebrandt of Brooks; two daughters, Audrey Skorski and her husband, Wes, of Connecticut, and Beth Elliott and her husband, Paul, of Virginia; a sister, Ruth Malcolm and her husband, Robert, of Mechanic Falls; two brothers, Paul Ryder and his wife, Sue, of Saco and Wilson Ryder of Somerville, Mass.; a grandchild, Maria Skorski; three stepgrandchildren, Renee, Brian and Melissa Elliott; a niece and several nephews. Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanic Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation at www.livestrong.org
