CHELMSFORD, Mass. – Jeannette B. (Allard) Hannaford, 78, of Chelmsford, Mass., a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at her home. She was the wife of the late Louis L. Hannaford to whom she was married for 57 years. She was born March 9, 1926, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late Alfred and Jeanne (Paradis) Allard. She spent her early years on the Allard Farm on North Road in Chelmsford, Mass., and graduated from Chelmsford High School. Mrs. Hannaford lived a deeply spiritual life and was a beloved friend to many. Her devotion to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chelmsford, Mass., where she served as a Eucharistic minister and volunteer. She was also a professed Third Order Carmelite and very active in local rosary and Ultreya groups. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Bernor and her husband, Dana, of Lowell, Mass., Janet Mitchell and her husband, Herb, of Chelmsford, Mass., and Lisa Brem and her husband, Jeffrey, of Chelmsford, Mass.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery Hannaford and his wife, Christine Chisholm of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Michael Hannaford and his wife, Kim, of Marietta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Steven, Peter and Joseph Bernor, Lauren Hannaford, Amanda, Julia, and Sarah Brem, Kaitlin Mitchell and Rachael, Tyler, and Madison Hannaford; two great-granddaughters, Danielle and MaryJeannette Bernor; and a brother, Charlie Paradis of Port Monmouth, N.J. She was the sister of the late Lucille Tighe of Chelmsford, Mass. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at the Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, Mass. A funeral Mass will be offered 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, Route 4, Chelmsford, Mass. Burial at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, Mass.
