HERMON – Jeffrey Leon Overlock, 56, died unexpectedly Aug. 10, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 22, 1949, in Bangor, the son of George and Mary Mabel (Carrow) Overlock. Working on cars and racing his black and yellow No. 80 car at Speedway 95 and other race tracks was his true love. Jeff would want to be remembered as a very good mechanic. He is survived by his wife Denise Overlock; three sons, Jeffrey “Bodean” Overlock Jr. and companion, Debbie Howe, George Overlock, Bert Overlock; three stepchildren, Marie Smith and husband, Clyde, Steve Moulton, Patricia “P.J.” McGowan; four brothers, Rodney Overlock and wife, Virginia, Barry “Butch” Overlock and wife, Mary, Terry Overlock, Sonny Overlock and wife, Helen; a sister, Gloria Warner; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and his dog, Sheba. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Graveside funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug 15, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hermon, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, Director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Hermon Rescue Squad, Billings Road, Hermon, following the service.
