LIMESTONE – Jeffrey L. Patten, 61, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at a Car-ibou hospital. He was born Sept. 26, 1945, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Beecher and Beatrice (Riley) Patten. Jeffrey grew up in Limestone and graduated from Limestone High School. He joined the U.S. Army National Guard, serving his country for eight years. He was a proud member of the American Legion Henry B. Pratt Jr. Post No. 15, Caribou, and a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all. In addition to his mother, Beatrice of Windham, he is survived by his loving wife, Rachel (Parent) Patten of Limestone; a daughter, Lisa Melbourne and her husband, Ronald, of Caribou; a son, Scott Patten and his girlfriend, Heather Kelly, of Limestone; three grandchildren, Zachary and Courtney Jones, and Stephen Melbourne; a brother, Stephen Patten and his fianc?e, Brenda Dunlap, of Hollis; several nieces and nephews. Jeffrey was predeceased by his father, Beecher Patten; and two brothers, David and Robert Patten. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church with Fr. Jean-Paul LaBrie, celebrant. Refreshments will be after in the church fellowship hall.
