WASHBURN – Jennifer E. McCrea, 51, died Aug. 18, 2006, in New York, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born July 13, 1955, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Eldon and Winnefred (Ouellette) McPherson. Jennifer was a graduate of Presque Isle High School and also graduated from Northern Maine Community College as a certified nursing assistant. She loved reading westerns and historical novels, enjoyed old movies, yard sales and flea markets and shopping at Mardens. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially kittens. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Charlemange with her sisters. She was a communicant at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Washburn. She is survived by her husband, Russell McCrea of Washburn; three daughters, Julie Wolffe and her husband, Richard, of Florida, Denise Tisdale and her husband, Robert, of South Carolina, Phoebe Ann Desjardin and her husband, Jason, of Vermont; her father, Eldon McPherson of Washburn; siblings, Andrea Bragdon and her husband, Eugene, of Washburn, Wanda Bragdon and her husband, Merton, of Washburn, Deborah Hoyt and her husband, David, of Washburn, Vincent and his wife, Sharon, of Perham and Ralph of Washburn; five grandchildren; mother-in-law, Joyce McCrea of South Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Arthur and Marion; a sister-in-law, Andrea Hope of Maryland; a special aunt, Freda; two special friends, Lillian Nibbey of Presque Isle and Patricia of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Washburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Scott Mower, celebrant. A private committal service will take place at a later date.
