WEBSTER PLANTATION – Jess Summner Glidden Jr., 64, died May 24, 2006, at his home. He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Jess S. and Alfreda Glidden. Jess had a great passion for hunting with his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Michele (Rutan) Glidden; five children, Sheila McKeen and her husband, Michael Sr., of Springfield, Dorothy Glidden and her fiance, Michael LeBlanc, of Webster, Janice Glidden of Houlton, Jess Summner Glidden III of Springfield, and Sharon Davis of Charleston; six grandchildren, Patience, Christopher, Brooke, Michael Jr., Makalia and Travis; three sisters, Sonya McAlpine of Springfield, Joyce McLaughlin of Conneticut and Shirley McAlpine of Winn; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 29, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Swan officiating.
