FRANKLIN – Jessie R. Clark, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, 2004, after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 19, 1913, and was married to J. Robert Clark for 64 years. Jessie worked for Collier’s Nursing Home for 12 years. She was a dedicated Christian and a charter member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church where she performed many active roles such as Sunday school teacher, deaconess, choir member and assisted wherever needed. One of Jessie’s greatest joys in life was the time spent with her large family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jessie leaves behind five daughters and their families, Carol Jean and Andrew Scott of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Rosemary Campbell of Franklin, Becky and Bruce Braley of St. Cloud, Fla., Wilma and George Jones of Hall Quarry, and Marie and Larry Foster of Richmond, Va.; three sons and their families, Bud and Donna of Franklin, Jim and Charlene of Winthrop, and Bill and Christy of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, in 2001; a son, Lee Robert; and a granddaughter, Tracy Jo. She leaves 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, by Pastor Barry Blackstone, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Church Street, Ellsworth. Immediately after the service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the church. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Gouldsboro Clinic and the ICU Staff at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital for their loving care.
