ASHLAND – Robert J. ‘Frenchie’ Pelletier, 60, died Dec. 5, 2004 at the VA Medical Center in Togus. He was born in Madawaska, July 27, 1944, the son of Leon and Priscilla (Thibeault) Pelletier. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a life member of the VFW LeBlanc-Junkins Post 9699 of Ashland. Frenchie was employed as a logger for Diamond International for most of his life and most recently worked for Mark Rafford Construction of Ashland. He is survived by two daughters, Angela Pelletier of Ellsworth, and Michelle Pelletier of Mulberry, Fla.; his favorite granddaughter, Kacy ‘Bougie” Pelletier of Ellsworth; five brothers, Joseph, Gerard, Reginald, Alden, and Rosaire Pelletier; five sisters, Estelle, Marie-Louise, Rachel, Rena, and Nora; one half-sister, Bertha; four brothers-in-law, Richard, Clarence, Lloyd, and Aubrey Bryant; two sisters-in-law, Rowena Boyington and Pamela Decker; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will also be remembered by special friends who cared for him during his final illness, Lisa Martin, Ron Grover, and Beverly LaBelle. Relatives and friends may call 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St., Ashland. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
