HOLDEN – Joan N. Bubier passed away peacefully Feb. 3, 2007, at a local health care facility. She was born April 30, 1943, on Bald Mountain, Dedham, of which she was very proud. Joan was the daughter of Amos and Bessie (Webber) Maynard. Joan worked for many years as a housekeeper at the Lucerne Inn and The New Stable Inn. She always tried to see the best in everybody and help them when she could. Joan is survived by her son, Scott Phillips and wife, Sue, of Veazie; daughter, Samantha Doughty and friend, Mark Rowe, of Bangor; and son, Joe Doughty and wife, Lisa, of Orrington. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Scott, Katrina, Kayla, Josh, Jennifer, Ashlee, Hope, Joseph and Bre; one great-granddaughter, Carlee; two brothers, John Maynard and Henry Maynard and wife, Cindy, all of Holden; two sisters, Amy Cooper of Bangor and Ruth Rennebu of Clifton, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family gives a very special thank you to the staff at Brewer Rehabilitation and Living Center for the excellent care given to Joan. Friends and family are invited 2 p.m. April 29, 2007, at Union Cemetery, Dedham, for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Maine, P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104-1134.
