NEWPORT, R.I. – Joan F. O’Shea, 68, of Farewell Street, Newport, R.I., a certified nurses’ assistant, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at a Newport, R.I. hospital. She was the wife of Kenneth O’Shea. Born in Brownville, she was the daughter of the late Elwin and Hilda (Boober) Smith. Mrs. O’Shea worked for Forest Farms as a certified nurses assistant. In addition to her husband she leaves two sons, Kenneth and Christopher, both of Newport, R.I.; two sisters, Clair Daggett of Manchester, Conn. and Nona Brown of Clermont, Fla. She was the sister of the late Henry Smith. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave., Riverside, R.I., where a funeral will be held 9:45 a.m. Saturday. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Church, 108 Washington Road, Barrington.
