WATERVILLE – Joan G. King, 73, passed away Jan. 1, 2007, at Maine General Medical Center, Waterville. She was born in East Millinocket, a daughter of Thomas and Anna (Theriault) Pelletier. She was a resident of Waterville for 29 years. She was a caretaker at the Mount St. Joseph Fontbonne Community, retiring in June of 1993 due to illness. Joan worked part-time as a compassionate certified nurses aide with Caring People. She was the loving mother of Edward King and his wife, Donna; a daughter, Cinda Berticelli; grandmother of Scott King, Caitlin King, Michael Cushing, Nino and Anthony Berticelli; three sisters, Janette Daniels, Marilyn Willey and Beverly Cooper; four brothers, Caroll, Arthur, Thomas and David Pelletier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 21 years, Edward C. King; three brothers, Henri, Leo and Louis Pelletier; a sister, Mary King; and a son-in-law, Michael Berticelli. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterville. Spring interment will be at East Millinocket Cemetery.
