LINCOLN – Karen Marie Caron, 47, wife of Danny J. Caron, died Dec. 31, 2006, at a Bangor hospital, from complications of injuries received in an automobile accident May 30, 2006. She was born July 24, 1959, in Lincoln, the daughter of Dana and Theola (Cobb) Bailey. Karen graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1977. She worked at the Timberhouse Restaurant, Penobscot Valley Hospital and as an optometrist assistant in the office of Mark Weatherbee, O.D. She loved reading, playing Yahtzee and camping and other outdoor activities. She liked to help people and would go out of her way to do so. In addition to her husband, Danny, she is survived by two sons, Derek Caron of Lincoln and Devon Caron of Fort Jackson, S.C.; her mother and step-father, Teddy and Gerald Pelkey of Lincoln; two brothers, Robert Bailey and Lori of Lincoln and Mark Bailey of Portland; a sister, Lynne and her husband, Jim Milnes, of Hampden; her grandmother, Wilda Cobb of Howland; Aunt Deanna and Uncle Ron Fournier of Gray and Zephyrhills, Fla.; Aunt Leslie Cobb and Doreen McCafferty of Lincoln; and her beautiful dog, Shadow. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Lester A. Cobb; grandparents, Helen and Clifford Bailey; and her father, Dana Bailey. Graveside services will be held at the Lincoln Cemetery, in the spring.
