BLAINE – Joan Gardner, 74, passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006, with her family at her side, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Eugene and Phyllis (Allen) Lamson. Joan was a devoted mother, homemaker and was very close to her family. One of her favorite pastimes was doing crossword puzzles and being there for her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Wanda Joslyn and her husband, Keith, of Monticello, Ronnie Brewer and his wife, Robin, of Blaine, Peggy Billings and her husband, Rick, of Westfield, Marilyn Burtt and her fiance, Herm Taylor, of Mars Hill; 10 grandchildren, Jason Boyce, Chad Brewer, Nathan Brewer and his wife, Alanna, Ryan and Rae Lynn Brewer, Joshua and Jessie Bell, Brock and Karter Burtt, Destini Bates and her husband, Marty, Jonathan Billings and his wife, Amy; and a very special granddaughter, Nikki Andermann and her husband, Matt; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Vicki Smith and her husband, Sandy, of Westfield; stepmother, Dorothy Lamson; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be leaving behind a very special neighbor, “My Tommy.” In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Gardner; brother, Jack Lamson; and sister, Marilyn Brewer. There will be a gathering for family and friends 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Joan’s home, 49 Rideout Rd., Blaine. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Tapley Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. She loved her family very much Ditto Mom and Gram.
