FREEPORT- Joanne Elizabeth Blanche, 67, died Dec. 28, 2003. Born in Whitneyville, the daughter of Edwin Swett and Hazel Clyde Mallar Blanche. Joanne was a longtime resident of Freeport Towne Square and was employed by the Sheltered Workshop at Freeport Towne Square for more than 20 years. Joanne was dearly loved by family, friends, co-workers and caregivers. Surviving are her sister, Julia Blanche of Westborough, Ma..; and brother, Charles Blanche of Dixfield; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A committal will be held in the spring. Arrangements under the care of Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray.
