CORINTH – John A. Wright, 68, the husband and companion of Dorothy (Kings-bury) Wright, died Nov. 6, 2004, at his residence. He was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Eastport, the son of Joseph Leroy and B. Mae (Clark) Wright. He served in both the U.S. Airforce and the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He had worked as a self employed plumber in the Eastport area for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife of Corinth, are two sons, Joseph Nicholas and his wife, Dianne, of Batavia, N.Y., and John W. Wright of Corinth; a brother, James Wright of New Hampshire; five sisters, Patricia Cowperthwaite of Baltimore, Md., Ruth Owen of Pembroke, Elizabeth Frost of Vasselboro, Maureen Pottle of Perry and Madonna Lewis of Eastport; three special grandchildren, Natasha Culp, James Culp and Zachery Baker and other grandchildren; an uncle, Elmer O. Clarke of Eastport and his mother-in-law, Grace Kingsbury of Corinth. John was predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Culp; a brother, Paul Wright; and a sister, Mary Wentworth. A private visitation and service for the family will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
