ST. DAVID – John Alphie Cote, 50, died July 12, 2007, in St. David. He was born June 28, 1957, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, the son of Alphie Cote and Cecile Corriveau. He is survived by his mother, Cecile Cote of Madawaska; his wife, Janice Chasse; son, Jordyn Cote of St. David; two daughters, Jamie and her husband, Kevin Dube, of St. David and Jessica Cote, a sergeant in the U.S. Marines, stationed in San Diego: three grandchildren, Brandyn and Jenna Dube of St. David and Ryan Cote of San Diego; three brothers, Gerald “Pit” Cote and special friend, Diane Beaulieu, Paul Cote, both of St. David and Roger Cote of Hollywood, Fla.; six sisters, Linda and her husband, Lucien Dube, Irene and her husband, Nelson Fortin, and Joyce Ouellette and a very special friend, Louis Landry, all of Madawaska, Ida and her husband, Jacques Pelletier, of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Lisa and her husband, Dennis Chamberland, of Jupiter, Fla., and Tina and her husband, Victor Rivera, of Davie, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Rita Pelletier of Madawaska; and his godparents, Alberic Charette of Van Buren and Irene (Bouchard) Charette of Madawaska. His father, Alphie Cote predeceased him, Nov. 3, 1994. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Interment will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Madawaska.
