EASTBROOK – John Barrie Rogers II, 47, died Dec. 28, 2006, at his residence. He was born June 25, 1959, in Bar Harbor, the son of John B. and Mary (Skofield) Rogers. He will be remembered in the community for his work in parts and service at Dow Motors and Stanley Subaru. John enjoyed the outdoors and was a Master Maine Guide. He owned and operated Down-east Outfitters. He was a member of the Lygonia Masonic Lodge No. 40, AF & AM; Anah Shrine and the Bucksmill Rod & Gun Club. He is survived by his wife, Alexis (Kinney) Rogers of East-brook; two daughters, Jamie Cotnoir and husband, Nate, of Hampden and Meagan Rogers of Ellsworth; his mother, Mary L. Maddocks of Ellsworth; brother, Jeff Rogers and wife, Karen, of Eastbrook; sister, Julie Dorrity and husband, Bill, of Winterport; 19 nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Russell. He was predeceased by his father, John B. Rogers. Friends are invited to gather 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Rogers’ residence, Eastbrook.
