FORT KENT – Marie Mai (Kennedy) Harvey, 58, died peacefully, Dec. 29, 2006, surrounded by her family. She was born May 11, 1948, in Baker Lake, New Brunswick, the daughter of Victor and Laura (Collin) Kennedy. Marie Mai was raised in Baker Lake, New Brunswick, and married her husband, Warren Harvey, Dec. 30, 1972. They lived in Fort Kent for most of their lives, then returned to Marie’s hometown of Baker Lake, New Brunswick, for the last 11 years. She was a LPN in New Brunswick before working alongside her husband at Radio Shack for 27 years. She is survived by her husband, Warren of Fort Kent; her son, Curt and his wife, Sylvia; her grandson, Mitchell, of Fort Kent; and daughter, Shannon Hathaway and her husband, Brett, of New Hampshire; two sisters, Dora Lizotte and Jacqueline Soucy and her husband, Gary, of Baker Lake, New Brunswick; five brothers, Roger and his wife, Dolande, Benoit and his wife, Odette, Medard, Robert and his wife, Marilyn, Normand and his wife, Fernande, all of Connecticut; mother-in-law, Esther Harvey of Fort Kent; sister-in-law, Susan Fournier and her husband, Irvin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; brother-in-law, Reginald (Blanc) Lizotte; sister-in-law, Georgette Kennedy; and father-in-law, Emily Harvey. At her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Friends may gather for a Mass of Christian burial 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be at the parish cemetery. At the request of the family, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter, attention Peggy Gagnon, 163 Lancaster St., Suite 160B, Portland, ME 04101-2406. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
