PRESQUE ISLE – John C. Alley, 72, died Saturday morning, Jan. 12, 2008, at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston. He was born March 20, 1935, in Wade, the youngest son of Braighton C. and Crystal S. (Odonal) Alley. He worked as a security man at Potato Service, Inc. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia (Clark) Alley of Presque Isle; a son, John C. Alley Jr. of Hobbs, N.M.; a daughter, Mahalah Waneta Davenport and her companion, Malcolm Witham, of Wade; seven grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren; two ex-daugh-ters-in-law, Theresa Alley of Waterville and Jonna Aldrich of Texas; the mother of his children, Vernna Alley of Caribou; many nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Clark and his wife, Heidi, of Mapleton and Wilbur Clark of Presque Isle. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Muriel Farley; three brothers, Garold, Vernum and Hugh; and a granddaughter, Anita Lee Rushinol. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. A reception will be after the service in the gathering area of the funeral home. Spring interment will be at North Main Street Catholic Cemetery, Presque Isle.
