JOHN F. BAKEMAN BROOKSVILLE – John F. Bakeman, 87, died Sept. 14, 2005, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. He was born July 24, 1918, in Cape Rozier, the son of Oliver M. and Lillian (Vance) Bakeman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene (Babson) Bakeman; two sons, John F. Bakeman and wife, Carol, of Blue Hill, and Richard Bakeman and wife, Doris, of Brooksville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Clark, Lori Dodge, John F. Bakeman Jr. and Traci Astbury; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bakeman. He was predeceased by a brother, Oliver M. “Gook” Bakeman. Graveside Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at Mount Rest Cemetery, North Brooksville, with the Rev. Dale True presiding.
