After his discharge from the Marine Corps, he attended the University of Maine at Orono, where he was a proud member of Lamda Chi Fraternity. Jack enjoyed outdoor activities including snowmobiling, boating and his greatest passion, fishing. He spent a great deal of time on the following lakes, Sebago, Moosehead, Chesuncook and Sebec. Jack loved nothing more than fishing trips with his friends. For many years, Jack kept a boat, The Irish Fox, moored at Center Board Yacht Club. He was an active member of CYC for many years and truly loved and appreciated the beauty of Casco Bay. Jack was also a passionate Patriots and Red Sox fan. Jack raised his family in Cape Elizabeth for 20 years. After the death of his first wife, Maureen, he was fortunate to meet and marry Karen. They moved to South Portland, Dows Woods where they have made their home for the past 20 years. Together, they enjoyed many days on Casco Bay and many very special trips to Quebec City. They had a very wide circle of friends with whom they spent many wonderful evenings together. Jack was considered a best friend by all.
