OLD TOWN – Alice Mary (Binette) Soucie, 83, beloved wife of the late Gerald Thomas Soucie for 48 years, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008. She was born April 27, 1924, in Old Town, the daughter of Leon and Claudia (Bilodeau) Binette. She attended Old Town schools and was a graduate of Old Town High School. Alice was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish and a member of Prayer Line Ministry. She also volunteered at the Meadows. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Gagner and her husband, Daniel; granddaughters, Jennifer and Danielle of Acton; two sons, Paul and his wife, Valerie, of Wilton, and their son, Michael and wife, Tanja, and their daughters, Tiana and Lana of Croatia, Europe, Mark and his daughter, Paige and his son, Zachary, of Anthem, Ariz.; two sisters, Delvina Clukey of Williamsville, N.Y., and Beatrice Anspaugh of Dayton, Ky.; one brother, Francis Binette and his wife, Charlene, of Bangor; one sister-in-law, Elsie Soucie of Milford; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Carole Soucie; a sister, Emeline Doucette; and two brothers, Theodore and Clarence Binette. At her request, there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Holy Family Parish Church, 429 Main St., Old Town, with Father Thomas Farley officiating. There will be a reception immediately after at the parish hall. Interment will be held at Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, next to her husband, Gerald. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in her memory to Holy Family Parish Building Fund, 429 Main St., Old Town, ME 04468 or to CancerCare of Maine, 489 State St., Bangor, ME 04401.
