OLD TOWN – Philip ‘Bud’ P. Geroux Jr., 81, beloved husband of Eleanor R. Geroux, passed away peacefully Feb. 18, 2008, surrounded by family. He was born April 20, 1926, in Bangor, a son of Philip and Florence Gero. Bud was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He devoted his life to special times with family, and attending his grandson’s baseball and football games, as well as golfing with friends. He was a life-long fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, Orono and developed many special friendships there. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Eleanor Geroux of Old Town; daughter, Roxanne Demmons and her husband, Kevin Demmons, of Old Town; a special grandson and best friend, Kevin P. Demmons of Old Town; a granddaughter, Tammy Watters and her husband, Chris, of Milford; his great-granddaughter, “sweet pea” Emily Watters of Milford; sisters, Barbara Carey and her husband, David, of Bradley, Frances Frost and her husband, Tom, of Hermon; brother, Robert Gero and his wife, Mary, of Lincoln; a special nephew, Richard Doucette of Greenbush; many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Irene M. Geroux (Doucette); one sister, Carmen Wilcox of Boston. He was a generous and giving man who will be missed by all who knew him. His willingness to help others and his enthusiasm for life will be remembered forever. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Faith Baptist Church, Forest Avenue, Orono.
