DEDHAM – John Francis Leimpeter, 86, died July 21, 2005. John was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Port Reading, N.J. John was a member of the Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. John was involved in numerous charitable organizations. He was especially active in the Bangor Elks Club. He was known by all for his selfless generosity. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Helen Leimpeter. He is survived by his sons, Peter and Jerome Leimpeter; daughter, Marie Mahaline; step-daughter, Carol A. (Thomas E.) Cook; step-grandson, Thomas E. Cook Jr. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Aug. 29, 2005, at Bayview Memorial Park, Pensacola, Fla. The family requests that charitable donations be made in his memory, instead of gifts of flowers. <
