HUDSON and KENDUSKEAG – John G. Allen, 71, passed away March 16, 2007, at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1936, in Bangor, a son of John and Clarice Allen. He was a self-employed farmer and woodsman during his working years. John is survived by four sisters, Clara Higgins of Charleston, Kathleen Sprague of Stetson, Carolyn Hackley of Pittsfield and Phyllis Martin of Houlton; two brothers, Calvert Allen of Hudson and Gerald Allen of Friendship; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by all. John was predeceased by his wife, Marie; and three brothers, Clifford, Ralph and Ronald Allen. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Stetson Union Church with the Rev. David Ray Sr. officiating. Friends may call noon until the time of services at the church.
