NEW LIMERICK – John “Jack” Sanderson, 78, died March 30, 2007, at his home. He was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Houlton, the son of Charles and Ruby (Mooney) Sanderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy (Smith) Sanderson of New Limerick; five children, James Sanderson of Enfield, Conn., Lorrie and her husband, Mark Helsor, of Lincoln, Byron and his wife, Lynn Sanderson, of Lincoln, Charles and his wife, Debbie Sanderson, of New Limerick and Lisa and Bruce LaDuke of Morrisonville, N.Y.; one son-in-law, Paul McAtee of Houlton; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth and her husband, Mike O’Hara, of Houlton and Winnifred and her husband, Ira Story, of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; one brother, Ray McEwen of Millinocket; several nieces, nephews and cousins; with a special niece, Allison Baber; and special cousin, Edmund Clowes. He was predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Karen McAtee; and one brother, James McEwen.
