HOULTON and WEST ENFIELD – John M. Mailman, died Aug. 8, 2007, in Lincoln. He was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Danforth, the son of Reginald and May (Comeau) Mailman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving the Good Conduct and Rifle, M14, medals. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Charlene (Russell) Mailman of West Enfield; three stepchildren, Donna Moore of Lewiston, Ronald McEachern of Fort Fairfield, and Paula Hoffman of Turner; five stepgrandchildren, one great-stepgranddaughter; one sister, Mildred Smith of Bangor; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five brothers, Howard, Earl, Frederick, Buddy, and Richard; and seven sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, Violet, Maxine, Pearl, Patricia, and Marie. Friends may call 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 11, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held noon with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
