HERMON and BUCKSPORT John Nathaniel Ames Jr., 36, found peace Sept. 8, 2005. He was born June 5, 1969, in Haverhill, Mass. An avid outdoorsman, fisherman, hunter, and karate enthusiast, John dearly loved and deeply cared about his family and friends, especially his sons, nieces and nephews, although this was often difficult for him to communicate. He is survived by his wife, Deena Ames of Oregon; his two sons, Jimmy Paul Ames of Oregon and Nathaniel Peters of Bucksport; his mother, Janet C. Hovey of Bucksport; his father, John N. Ames Sr. and his wife, Mary, of East Winthrop; his four siblings, Donna Ames Mooreside of Hermon, Stephen P. Ames of Waltham, Mass., Deborah O. Hopkins and her husband, Kevin, of Orland, Keith A. Ames of West Palm Beach, Fla.; his nieces and nephews, Scott Okusko, Sarah Chadbourne, Andrew Okusko, and Misty Hawes, Samantha Ames, Linda Bard, Noelle Ames, Heather Ames, Devin Hopkins, Ryan Mooreside, Ethan Hopkins, Felicia Adams, Katie Ames, Maggie Hopkins; his great-nephew and great-niece, Michael Chadbourne and Elizabeth Bard; a multitude of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; many special friends including, Billy and Trisha Drake, Troy Carey, Donnie Carey and Shawn Porter. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
