WESTFIELD – John S. Shannon, 58, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at the Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. He was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, the son of Herman and Margaret (Smith) Shannon. John served in the U.S. Army. He worked in civil service at Fort Devens, Mass., and at Loring Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Brewer) Shannon of Westfield; two sons, Shaun Shannon and his companion, Christine Hart, of Easton and Joseph Haines of Presque Isle; a daughter, Vanessa Haines of Westfield; two brothers, Jack Shannon Sr. and his wife, Beverly, of Westfield and Dale Shannon and his wife, Robyn, of Saco; a sister, Dorothy Shannon-Shorey and her husband, David, of Oakland; five grandchildren, Kylie, Tristan, Hunter, Hayley and Kasey. Relatives and friends may call 1-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
