PARKS, Ariz. – Steven Owen Killmer, 51, formerly of Limestone, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at his home. Mr. Killmer was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Burlington, Vt., the son of Lila and David Killmer. His father was in the military, so he lived in several places including Germany, California, Vermont and Maine. He graduated from Limestone High School in 1973. Steven worked for A.A.F.E.S. in the New England area for several years. He moved to Tucson, Ariz., 28 years ago. He then moved to Parks, Ariz., in January 1981. He worked as the manager of the Bellemont Truck Stop for 14 years. He then worked as an entrepreneur and handy man. Steven enjoyed helping his neighbors and community, the outdoors, camping, hiking and telling stories around the campfire. He also was on the school board for Maine Consolidated School District, the fire department and other community activities. Mr. Killmer is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carol Killmer; daughter, Lisa Marie Killmer; son, Joseph Owen Killmer; brothers, Kevin and wife, Susan, Killmer, Glen and wife, Susan, Killmer, Alan Killmer and Dennis Killmer; sisters, Susan and husband, Timothy, Higgins and Kathleen and husband, David, Parson. He was predeceased by his parents and one infant brother. Memorial services will be held 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Parks Community Center, Parks, Ariz.
