BELFAST – Jon S. Adams, 55, died unexpectedly Aug. 19, 2005, at Belfast. He was born April 28, 1950, in Shreveport, La., the son of Arthur F. and Constance (Jenkins) Adams. He married LuAnne Herrick “the love of his life” in 1972 having almost 33 years together. He owned and operated an auto body shop and then worked for Duvals Auto for 18 years. Recently for the past six years he owned and operated Highland Auto and Towing Company. He was an avid Red Sox and NASCAR fan, especially of Bobby LeBonte. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur and stepfather Ivan Davis. Also by two sisters, Diane and Lois. He is survived by his mother, Constance Davis of Liberty; his wife of 33 years, LuAnne H. Adams of Belfast; two daughters, Carol Adams of Belfast and Michelle Adams of Searsmont; three sisters, Carol Flood of Knox, Melanie Ripley of Liberty, and Janice Kelley of Benton; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Mark Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at the Grove Cemetery in Belfast. Following the services friends are invited for a time of fellowship at the Belfast VFW Hall, Field Street.
