BROOKLIN – Joseph C. Bianco, 33, beloved son of Frank and Diane Bianco of Brooklin, passed away Aug. 30, 2007, surrounded by his family and lifelong friends at a local hospital. Joseph was a graduate of Chelmsford, Mass., High School, University of Maine in Orono and attended the University of South Hampton, England. He was a boat builder, who had worked at the Brooklin Boat Yard on many wooden boats. His favorite being the restoration of the Trumpy, a powerboat built in the early 20s. Joseph was an avid sailor and loved exploring the waters of Blue Hill Bay in his sailboat, Sea Fever. His other love of life was building his own rustic home in the woods. He prided himself on living Thoreau style during two of the harshest winters, without benefit of electricity, running water or central heat. Joe’s dreams and creativity in adapting to his environment were never dampened by the challenges he faced living with multiple sclerosis. His spirit, love of life and many friends and family sustained him as he struggled with its devastating effects. His loyal group of dear friends remembered him as an inspiration in following his life dreams. In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his three loving brothers, Frank Jr. and wife, Kimberly, of Brooklin, Patrick and wife, Jennifer, of Chelmsford, Mass., and Timothy and fianc?e, Melissa Shaheen, of Boston; and his faithful dog, Sinatra.
